|Job Description||An excellent opportunity has emerged to join the RTGS Renewal Programme as a Governance and Assurance Manager. This position is pivotal to quality and timeliness of decision making on the RTGS Renewal Programme. As the jobholder, you will be at the centre of this high-profile programme and will interact with senior management, senior board members, private offices and Executive Director/Director level.
The Programme is nearing the end of the procurement for a Technology Delivery Partner, and will move into the delivery phase in June 2020. This provides a timely opportunity to join and shape the governance and assurance arrangements for this strategically important Programme.
|Essential Criteria||A self-starter and quick learner with previous experience in a position which demonstrates organisational, prioritisation, communication and engagement skills.
Outstanding drafting/writing skills.
High degree of accuracy in executing work, providing exceptional support to senior management teams.
Strong experience of effective and confident engagement with diverse and senior groups.
Experience in developing and efficiently implementing engagement and work plans.
Management experienced (minimum of 2 direct reports).
|Desirable Criteria||Experience in an Agile way of working.
Appreciation of the political environment.
Broader communications experience and skills desirable
|Salary||This role offers a base salary of up to £73,890 (subject to experience and skillset). The total package also includes:
A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.

|Governance||Defining and owning the Programme’s delivery methodology and governance structure.
Defining and leading the governance plan for all Programme decisions.
Aligning governance and assurance with Agile PMO principles.
Lead a small team (1-3 resources) to deliver and continue to assure and improve governance processes.
Work closely with workstream leads, Head of PMO, Programme Director and Programme Sponsor to shape the governance plan.
