Troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu) operating systems.
Development of scripts using PowerShell and/or Puppet for Linux Apache, Tomcat, and MySQL.
Troubleshooting or aiding in the support of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
Scheduling, preparing, and sometimes executing the patching of our Windows and/or Linux servers.
Creating/Renewing SSL Certificates for Enterprise-wide .Net Applications.
Supporting business partners with their Foundry/F5 based VIP/DNS configurations for Enterprise-wide applications needs.
|Specific Duties/Responsibilities||Applies software development skills, tools, and processes to implement automation solutions where appropriate
Assists other infrastructure engineers on completing their assignments
Diagnoses and resolves complex problems/issues and completes complex assignments
Leverages a thorough understanding of the State Farm organizational structure to navigate the organization
|Additional Skillsets for high-end candidates||Ensures that the technical infrastructure is sufficiently robust, scalable, and efficient to deliver the integrated services underlying the physical environment that supports the processes, resources, and operators required for developing, integrating, sustaining enterprise applications and support services
Addresses the day-to-day management and maintenance of infrastructure services, systems, and applications
Applies enterprise software development standards to gain efficiencies through the automation of infrastructure related activities (e.g. manage configuration, provisioning, performance monitoring)
